My Mom told me last week that she doesn't believe in coincidences, and after thinking about it for a few days, I've come to the determination that I don't either.
Let me tell a little story:: we moved into a new house about six months ago. The big selling point for me was that there's a detached casita off the front of the house that makes a perfect studio for Rachel Clare Photography. It's been a work in progress, but it's finally *almost* to a place where I'm very happy with it. One of the final things I needed to do was have my logo printed so I could put it on the glass door. Though total happenstance (but, do I believe in happenstance?), I found a small sign company in Riverside a couple of weeks ago that quoted me a very reasonable price, and I instantly connected with Kate, the graphic designer who helped me.
The day I was hoping to pick up my logo from her was the same day that I needed to go into Riverside to scout out an orange grove where Danny and Amber could have their "first look" (a lovely moment when bride and groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day). I told Kate that I needed to come in to Riverside to look for an orange grove and asked her if my logo was ready to pick up. Rather than answering that question, she said, "Rachel, I live in an orange grove. You're welcome to use my grove if you want." To make a long story short, Kate lives in the very house I was hoping to be able to have access to for this special time on Danny & Amber's wedding day. I know her house well, and have often purchased citrus from them.
Coincidence? I don't think so.
Nor is it a coincidence that Amber went to karaoke that night and met Daniel, who was playing darts. Some things are meant to be. I truly believe that. This marriage was one of those things.
Their wedding day was beautiful- never rushed, full of joy.
Daniel and Amber, I'm so glad to know you both. Thank you for trusting me to be such a big part of your day. I hope Hawaii has been fantastic this week! My best to both of you.
Amber, on her way to meet Daniel before the ceremony ::
My view of the first look. (More pictures coming soon of another great view!)

Bryce, Amber's darling son, couldn't wait to get those uncomfortable rental shoes off and get those Etnies back on. ;)
