1.1.11 - the perfect day for an anniversary.
When I first knew about the option to photograph Matt and Amy's wedding on New Year's Day in the San Francisco, I never hesitated. I love the Bay Area and I knew I liked Amy from the first time we talked on the phone. She's kind and genuine and I'm truly sorry we live 400 miles apart. I know we'd be great friends.
Matthew and Amy's day was a chilly one with a light drizzle and dark skies, but the weather didn't affect the mood. Their wedding party was very small, consisting only of family members, and the guest list was short, which made for a intimate, happy evening.
I loved Amy's bouquet. It was deep and rich and had blackberries in it. I love anything made with berries, and her flowers were no exception! Megan, of Megan Haney Designs did an amazing job.
Getting a bride's dress all cinched up isn't as easy as you'd think! I love this second picture!
My dear friend, Jennifer Chaney, second-shot with me that day. I sent her in to see what the boys were up to while I photographed Amy getting ready.
Matthew and Amy chose to have a first look, which I'm always a big fan of. I love the next two series- one shot from Jennifer's perspective, and one shot from mine.
I wish I could say these next pictures were my idea. Unfortunately, I can't. I can thank Jennifer's husband for this genius, however. As Amy and Matt both work in Law Enforcement, we thought mugshots were totally appropriate!
