I am so excited to be teaming up with Jackie K and Silk Wedding Boutique, located in my hometown of Farmington New Mexico. Jackie is a sweet friend with a tremendous talent as a wedding florist. She also just opened Farmington's first chic wedding boutique, and it's amazing! We went out on Wednesday night to shoot some of her dresses. Lindsay was the perfect model, and Penny did a lovely job on hair and makeup.

(06.26.10 @ 12:03 PM)This wedding happened on a lovely Saturday in La Mirada last fall. I had a ball shooting with the lovely, and oh-so-creative Shannon Leith. The day emitted happiness, and I can only imagine that HK's and Judy's faces hurt by the end of the day (because that's what smiling for 8 hours straight will do)!
The lovely couple chose to do a "first look", which I LOVE. I'm a big fan of a bride and groom seeing each other before the ceremony. I think it calms nerves, eliminates a lot of the jitters, and is so much more personal and intimate than seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day in front of hundreds of people. I love this series of three:::
Their outdoor reception was one big party in the park. It was airy and cool and relaxed and people had so much fun!
Because, really. How can you NOT have fun when there's a cotton candy machine and a May Pole involved?!

(06.22.10 @ 07:20 PM)Backing up a bit.... I had the fun opportunity in March to shoot Bryan and Maryann's wedding in San Diego with the ever-fab Kamee June.
Kamee asked if I would come along and 2nd shoot for her. The day was beautiful- a bit windy, but beautiful. Bryan and Maryann were married in San Diego, then we wandered up to Laguna, and ended their lovely day on the Balboa Peninsula.
